Oh man, such a long absense from xanga. I prefer xanga over myspace, so you'll see me around here more often.
Wow, what a surprising summer!(which is still going on) I remember I got a call from a BLD adult, im not too sure who it was. I didn't really know what to think. maybe he called because he wanted help with some technical stuff. He said, "Hey Kevin, we were discerning on who was going to be the new lass shepard for YE 13 and we picked you." Initially I was shocked for a few seconds and I gratefully accepted the position. Turns out that he told me a week before YE 13 which I didn't plan to go on, but I did. The next night, I got another call from another BLD parent, not sure who that is either. He said, "Hey Kevin, remember when we voted for the new DYC last friday? Congrats, your one of the new DYC!" Haha, now I'm holding two titles. We ended our conversation with, "Your also the only boy in the new team!" HAHA, that's cool. Fast forward a week after the YE 13 with my new DYC assignment, Misson. Now it's off to Washington DC to auxie YE 2. That weekend was amazing, from the trip there to the ride home. When we were driving there, Tito Alan (the driver) spoke to me and said what we as a team were going to do. I didn't know how deep and how open Tito Alan was. He explained his way for thinking and his theories behind alot of things. Tito Alan is my favorite tito.(Sorry to the rest of them...) I didn't notice how small DC was. The auxies on their side was about 12. That's really small, but we happened to be there. In total, we were 20+ not including adults. The whole weekend was high energy. To sum it all up, I love DC! Fast forward again to IDC. What a crazy weekend! It seemed like we didn't have to talk to each other to get where were coming from. Everyone understood each other seemlessly. Our foundation was God. Talking to each other just deepend the bonds. The old DYC which are Dave, Marvin, Ian, Ann Ann and Cherrie headed the weekend as there last action before going out. I love you guys too (like crazy) even though I don't really talk to you that much. As Joreen said, were taking over, but we can never replace you guys. The wrap up prayer made me cry. It sounds weak, but I don't care. You know what happened if you were there.
I am so greatful for everything that has happened. With God's help, we'll turn the world inside out.
